BW Offshore achieves first gasoline on BW Opal FPSO for Santos’ Barossa LNG Venture

BW Offshore has achieved first gasoline on its BW Opal floating manufacturing, storage and offloading unit (FPSO), marking a serious milestone in Santos’ Barossa LNG challenge offshore Australia. 


The BW Opal reached prepared for start-up on September 16, with first gasoline following on September 20. The achievement triggers 60% of the contractual dayrate beneath its long-term constitution settlement.
