DeepOcean has secured a contract from Equinor to ship subsea building and set up work for the Snorre Export and Import Gasoline Mission (SNEIG), a part of the broader Snorre discipline growth geared toward extending manufacturing past 2040.

The Snorre discipline, positioned within the Tampen space of the northern North Sea in water depths of 300–350 m, has been onstream since 1992 and stays one in all Norway’s largest offshore hubs. The SNEIG initiative helps Equinor’s long-term plan to boost gasoline dealing with capability and enhance discipline sustainability.

Below the award, DeepOcean will set up a subsea security isolation valve (SSIV), a subsea umbilical, and carry out tie-in actions to the present pipeline system utilizing gear from the Pipeline Restore and Subsea Intervention (PRSI) pool. The contractor can even execute preparatory subsea work, together with isolation pig monitoring, coating elimination, pipeline reducing, and the set up of recent umbilical crossings.

Further scope contains mechanical completion, commissioning help and onshore engineering, procurement, and challenge administration companies. Mission execution might be led from DeepOcean’s Haugesund workplace.

Offshore operations are deliberate for the summer season of 2026 and can make the most of a building vessel from DeepOcean’s chartered fleet.

Olaf A. Hansen, managing director of DeepOcean’s European operations, stated the challenge combines complicated subsea duties with the usage of PRSI tooling and long-established discipline information. “Our group will work intently with Equinor to make sure secure and environment friendly set up actions,” he stated.

The Snorre Growth Mission continues to be a serious factor of Equinor’s technique to maximise restoration from mature fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
