Pakistan to construct offshore synthetic island to speed up oil and fuel exploration

(Bloomberg) – Pakistan Petroleum Ltd., a state-owned power firm, is reclaiming land from the ocean to create a launchpad to ramp up oil and fuel exploration.

The substitute island will come up about 30 kilometers (19 miles) off the coast of the southern Sindh province, close to Sujawal, PPL’s Normal Supervisor Exploration and Core Enterprise Improvement, Arshad Palekar, stated on the sidelines of an oil and fuel convention in Islamabad.
