Qatar offshore operator faucets Vissim for brand spanking new vessel collision avoidance system

A Qatar-based offshore operator has chosen Norway’s Vissim to produce a digital vessel collision avoidance system designed to reinforce maritime consciousness and enhance security at an undisclosed oil and gasoline discipline.

Below the three-year contract, Vissim will deploy its software-based monitoring platform, which aggregates tens of millions of information factors — together with AIS alerts and different vessel inputs — to supply a real-time image of marine visitors round offshore belongings.
