(WO) — TechnipFMC has been awarded a considerable engineering, procurement, building and set up (EPCI) contract by Eni S.p.A. for the Coral North growth, the second floating liquefied pure gasoline (FLNG) challenge offshore Mozambique.

Coral North FLNG challenge

The challenge is positioned in water depths of about 2,000 meters (6,561 toes) and represents a follow-on growth to Coral South, the world’s first FLNG challenge in ultradeep water. For TechnipFMC, a “substantial” contract is valued between $250 million and $500 million. The award was included within the firm’s inbound orders for the second quarter of 2025.

Jonathan Landes, president of Subsea for TechnipFMC, stated the corporate will construct on its prior expertise within the area.

“We’re excited to as soon as once more work with Eni and their consortium companions in Mozambique. We are going to leverage our expertise gained from the profitable supply of Coral South—the world’s first FLNG challenge in ultradeep water—by replicating our confirmed playbook with an enhanced strategy,” Landes stated.

Beneath the contract, TechnipFMC will manufacture and set up versatile flowlines and risers, and also will set up subsea manifolds and umbilicals to help the offshore gasoline growth.
