The US may impose export controls on Boeing airplane elements as a part of Washington’s response to Chinese language export limits on uncommon earth minerals, President Donald Trump stated on Friday.

“We’ve many issues, together with a giant factor is airplane. They (China) have loads of Boeing planes, and so they want elements, and many issues like that,” Trump informed reporters on the White Home, when requested what objects may the U.S. impose export controls on.

Chinese language airways have orders for a minimum of 222 Boeing jets, in keeping with Cirium, an aviation analytics firm.

The nation has 1,855 Boeing airplanes in service. The overwhelming majority of planes on order and in service are Boeing’s fashionable 737 single-aisle jet.
