Tampnet powers Beacon Offshore’s Shenandoah deepwater mission

(WO) — Beacon Offshore Power has partnered with Tampnet to deploy high-performance digital infrastructure for its Shenandoah deepwater growth within the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. Positioned within the Walker Ridge space, Shenandoah is a brand new greenfield mission designed to function a regional hub for future deepwater operations.

Tampnet’s subsea fiber and 4G/5G community will present real-time monitoring, distant collaboration, and data-driven decision-making throughout the platform’s lifecycle. The built-in answer combines non-public 5G know-how with Tampnet’s public 4G community and connects with FirstNet and AT&T to help emergency response and high-priority communications. Mike Clake, Vice President of Deepwater Developments at Beacon Offshore Power, mentioned the digital infrastructure will “allow real-time monitoring and decision-making, enhancing effectivity and lowering offshore publicity.” Tampnet CEO Elie Hanna added that Shenandoah “represents the digital deepwater platform of the long run,” positioning Beacon to scale digital instruments and operational insights from day one.

Tampnet’s Gulf of Mexico community now connects greater than 20 offshore property throughout 1,700 kilometers of subsea fiber, serving because the area’s main communications spine.
