(WO) – Transocean has secured roughly $89 million in new agency backlog after operators in Brazil, Norway and Romania exercised contract choices on three of its floating rigs, the corporate introduced.

In Brazil, Petrobras exercised a 90-day choice on the Deepwater Mykonos, persevering with the ultra-deepwater drillship immediately into its subsequent marketing campaign. The extension is predicted to contribute about $33 million to backlog.

In Norway, a two-well choice was exercised for the Transocean Enabler, a harsh-environment semisubmersible, at a dayrate of $453,000, excluding extra companies.

In the meantime, in Romania, OMV Petrom exercised a one-well choice for the Transocean Barents, one other harsh-environment semi, at a dayrate of $480,000 per day.

Transocean at the moment operates a fleet of 27 floating drilling models, together with 20 ultra-deepwater floaters and 7 harsh-environment rigs. The corporate mentioned the brand new fixtures reinforce continued demand for high-specification rigs throughout key offshore basins.
